Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- 1-4 years of professional experience in multifamily or commercial real estate (asset management, property accounting, acquisitions, FP&A, or valuation/appraisal).
- Strong financial modeling skills in Excel with the ability to build and audit complex models.
- Familiarity with multifamily operating statements and key performance metrics such as NOI, economic occupancy, trade-outs, and expense ratios.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and experience preparing investment materials.
- Strong analytical skills with experience working with large datasets (rent rolls, T-12s, budgets).
- Experience with Yardi, RealPage, or Entrata preferred.
- Knowledge of construction budgets, draw processes, and cost tracking preferred.
- Exposure to or interest in applying AI tools to investment workflows.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly variance-to-budget analyses identifying operational and market drivers.
- Partner with Property Management to identify performance gaps and validate budget assumptions.
- Build and maintain Excel models for budget-vs-actual tracking and portfolio rollups.
- Create detailed financial models for multifamily acquisitions and development projects.
- Analyze property data including rent rolls, T-12s, and budgets to reforecast performance.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly portfolio reporting materials for internal and investor use.
- Assist in due diligence processes and review of financial data.
- Leverage AI tools to streamline underwriting and automate reporting workflows.
