Requirements
- University Degree with minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field, or 6 years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in quality assurance.
- Familiarity with 91XX series and ISO9001 standards.
- Ability to certify within one year as an Aerospace Auditor (AA) or Aerospace Experienced Auditor (AEA).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
- Ability to travel 70% domestically and internationally.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to function effectively without direct supervision.
Responsibilities
- Conduct second party QMS audits for compliance with the 91XX and ISO series of standards, RTX and business unit policies & procedures, and regulatory and customer requirements across RTX sites.
- Support the Lead Auditor in audit planning, representing the audit team with site leadership, and conducting opening/closing meetings and daily debriefs.
- Ensure processes, products, and services comply with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Complete detailed audit reports including findings and non-conformances, and review/approve effective corrective actions.
- Support analysis of audit performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with EQA Regional Leads and Ops Excellence Leads to support the audit schedule.
- Participate in weekly Corrective Action Review Board meetings to review and approve/reject formal corrective actions.
- Support special audits, independent assessments, and site certifications as required by RTX business units.
