Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Linux systems in a production environment.
- 2+ years of experience performing configuration management using Ansible.
- 2+ years of experience supporting Linux virtual desktops.
- Experience working in large government, financial, regulatory, or corporate environments.
- Familiarity with formal change management, security compliance, and audit requirements.
- Public Trust High (Tier 4/BI) Risk Level clearance eligibility.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience supporting analytics infrastructure (e.g., Hadoop, AWS EMR, SLURM) preferred.
- Python proficiency preferred.
- Red Hat or AWS certifications preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers (Amazon Linux 2023, Ubuntu, RHEL) in AWS.
- Support and maintain Linux-based virtual desktop environments on VMware and AWS WorkSpaces.
- Develop and deploy Linux operating system baselines aligned with CIS benchmarks.
- Perform enterprise-wide configuration management and playbook development using Ansible.
- Collaborate with developers and analytics engineers to deploy and maintain applications.
- Develop monitoring solutions to ensure system uptime and observability.
- Oversee system patching and vulnerability remediation using AWS Systems Manager.
- Deploy and manage infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation and AWS Service Catalog.
