Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Linux systems in a production environment.
  • 2+ years of experience performing configuration management using Ansible.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting Linux virtual desktops.
  • Experience working in large government, financial, regulatory, or corporate environments.
  • Familiarity with formal change management, security compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Public Trust High (Tier 4/BI) Risk Level clearance eligibility.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience supporting analytics infrastructure (e.g., Hadoop, AWS EMR, SLURM) preferred.
  • Python proficiency preferred.
  • Red Hat or AWS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers (Amazon Linux 2023, Ubuntu, RHEL) in AWS.
  • Support and maintain Linux-based virtual desktop environments on VMware and AWS WorkSpaces.
  • Develop and deploy Linux operating system baselines aligned with CIS benchmarks.
  • Perform enterprise-wide configuration management and playbook development using Ansible.
  • Collaborate with developers and analytics engineers to deploy and maintain applications.
  • Develop monitoring solutions to ensure system uptime and observability.
  • Oversee system patching and vulnerability remediation using AWS Systems Manager.
  • Deploy and manage infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation and AWS Service Catalog.
