Requirements
- 3+ years of backend development experience with Python.
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow or Prefect.
- Strong understanding of AWS services, specifically S3 and Lambda.
- Proven experience with relational databases, particularly MySQL.
- Ability to write clean, intentional, human-readable code.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Clear English communication skills for team collaboration.
- Interest in financial domain logic, payment flows, and reconciliation.
- Must be based in Portugal or Ukraine.
Responsibilities
- Re-architect legacy Perl batch jobs into modern, maintainable Python services.
- Implement workflow orchestration using tools like Prefect or Airflow.
- Instrument services with logging and alerting using Grafana and CloudWatch.
- Develop data ingestion pipelines to move raw data to S3 and transform it into relational database records.
- Participate in agile sprints and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
