Requirements
- 5 years of progressive compensation experience.
- 3-5 years focused specifically on sales compensation design and incentive strategy and operations.
- Deep expertise in B2B SaaS and consumption-based sales compensation models.
- Experience scaling compensation operations in high-growth companies.
- Hands-on experience using AI or machine learning tools in revenue operations.
- Expert-level proficiency with compensation management systems (e.g., Xactly, CaptivateIQ, Varicent).
- Proficiency with CRM applications, specifically Salesforce.
- Data analysis skills using SQL, Tableau, or Looker.
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets modeling skills.
- Understanding of quota-setting methodologies and territory assignment.
- Familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead annual compensation plan development in partnership with CRO, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance.
- Design role-specific compensation frameworks, including hybrid SaaS and consumption-based revenue motions.
- Manage the full compensation lifecycle, from annual plan design through monthly commission processing.
- Develop compensation governance frameworks, plan approval workflows, and change management protocols.
- Model compensation scenarios to optimize the balance between motivational impact and cost efficiency.
- Partner with Sales Enablement and leadership to drive training, communication, and field team alignment.
- Provide ongoing performance reviews and conduct ROI analysis on SPIFs, accelerators, and special programs.
