Requirements
- 1-5 years of experience with multifamily or commercial estimating.
- Proficiency in hand-done material take-offs.
- Working knowledge of architectural and engineered drawings.
- Proficiency in the English language (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Strong math skills (algebra and geometry).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret building codes.
- Ability to learn estimating software.
- Preferred: Experience using Planswift.
- Preferred: Hands-on framing experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide detailed lists of material estimates from drawings for purchasing and field construction.
- Estimate and submit proposals for approval.
- Coordinate project stages including shipping lists, field support take-offs, and construction.
- Communicate effectively with all organizational levels.
- Provide problem-solving solutions using building codes and product information.
- Assist other estimators and work with project management to meet deadlines.
- Compile legible quotes for client submission.
