Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in an applicable work environment.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of J1939 communications standards.
- Experience with mobile equipment harness design (using AutoCAD or equivalent).
- Experience with circuit design using electromechanical components.
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) or controller software.
- Experience with vehicle-mounted camera and recording systems.
- Experience resolving production floor and field-based electrical issues.
- Experience with supplier and component selection for electrical materials.
- Ability to travel up to 30-40% of the time.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
- Design and field validate electrical and camera systems and components for on/off-highway mobile equipment.
- Develop project timelines, scope of work documents, and installation work instructions.
- Select electrical components in collaboration with suppliers.
- Develop and maintain PLC/Controller and camera system software.
- Provide technical assistance to internal/external customers, distributors, and sales personnel.
- Coordinate design validation testing at component, subsystem, and system levels.
- Assist production and field technicians with electrical system diagnostics.
