Requirements

  • Proven experience working closely with customers, patients, or families.
  • Comfortable handling difficult conversations and communicating over the phone and digital channels.
  • General health insurance knowledge including billing, verification, benefits, and eligibility.
  • Prior experience with HIPAA regulations and securely handling Protected Health Information.
  • Comfort navigating CRM platforms such as Salesforce or ZohoCRM.
  • Familiarity with support ticketing workflows.
  • Resilient, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to thrive in a fast-paced team.
  • Strong collaborative spirit and willingness to learn AI tools.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for inquiring families, handling inbound and outbound calls, texts, and emails to educate them on InStride’s program.
  • Foster trusting relationships by offering empathetic guidance and advocating for families facing hurdles in accessing care.
  • Resolve onboarding barriers and navigate complex insurance workflows including eligibility verification and Single Case Agreements.
  • Act as a central liaison connecting families with internal clinical, payer, and authorization teams.
  • Maintain precise records and help desk tickets within the CRM in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Pilot new workflows and provide constructive feedback to refine team processes.
