Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing and shipping cloud-native applications and platform services to production.
- 2+ years of experience working with contemporary Javascript frameworks (e.g., Vue, React).
- 5+ years of experience working with large relational datasets.
- Solid understanding of cloud services and best practices, with a preference for AWS.
- Ability to break down complex product requirements into deliverable software tasks.
- Enthusiasm for new projects and a readiness to contribute to the engineering team.
- Experience with spatial data (e.g., PostGIS) is helpful.
- Familiarity with real-time data streaming is a plus.
- Knowledge of persistent and ephemeral data storage technologies.
- Experience with frontend mapping technologies like Leaflet or MapboxGL.js.
- Proven ability to work effectively within Agile development methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop features for our web based fiber management platform.
- Build and maintain GIS-based systems including tile servers, fiber network models, and interactive maps using open source libraries.
- Develop web services to integrate the VETRO platform with critical external systems.
- Support production systems by triaging bugs and addressing application performance issues.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure platform stability.
