- Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital, OPO, tissue bank, donation-focused call center, or donor screening role.
- Demonstrated ability to review medical records and assess donor eligibility.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Familiarity with organ, tissue, and donor recovery processes.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail in record keeping.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems, web-based applications, and digital communication tools.
- Ability to maintain a reliable, high-speed internet connection and dedicated remote workspace.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to donor screening referrals by reviewing medical records and Donor Risk Assessment Interview (DRAI) information.
- Evaluate donor eligibility using established Ossium guidelines and clinical criteria.
- Identify missing or conflicting information and obtain clarification from partner organizations.
- Make independent donor acceptance and deferral decisions, escalating complex cases as needed.
- Track donor cases through recovery and shipping workflows.
- Document all screening activities, eligibility determinations, and partner communications.
- Coordinate with OPOs, recovery partners, and internal stakeholders to manage cases.
