Requirements
- Ability to write clean, working, and reusable code
- Experience producing high-quality code through automated testing
- Familiarity with building secure, compliant software and defending against common vulnerabilities
- Foundational understanding of data engineering and use of various datastores
- Experience engineering software products end-to-end on a cloud-native stack
- Understanding of cross-functional collaboration and user-centered design

Responsibilities
- Build and improve systems that migrate, preserve, and make large volumes of government records searchable and accessible
- Engineer software products end-to-end — frontend and backend — on a cloud-native stack as part of a cross-functional team
- Build accessible, Section 508–compliant interfaces and the APIs and services behind them
- Advocate for and adhere to lean-agile engineering practices such as API-first design, continuous integration, version control, and automated testing
- Build secure, compliant software that meets federal security standards
- Mentor other engineers and share knowledge to strengthen the team's engineering practice
