Staff Product Manager, Technical (HHS)

Build and own roadmaps for digital services, from initial prototypes to products used by HHS and its Divisions.
Help federal stakeholders align and make decisions.
Translate leadership and government partner needs into product vision, objectives, and measures of success.
Work through technical decisions with engineers.
Ship early prototypes, gather feedback, and iterate.
Write user stories, prioritize the backlog, and build release plans.
Lead discovery and help define platform, integration, and adoption strategies for HHS initiatives.
Guide digital services and applications through development, launch, adoption, and ongoing improvement.

Engineering at Skylight

You will solve complex challenges in digital modernization for government agencies. Our teams apply modern practices like agile delivery, human-centered design, DevOps, and DevSecOps. We build secure, scalable systems using mobile app development (iOS/Android, React Native, Swift, Kotlin) and API-first design. Expect to work with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation), and cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government). You will also utilize containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and observability tooling (Datadog, New Relic). We prioritize open-source solutions where they fit best. Your work will directly enhance public services and national security.
