Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading the function in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology companies.
  • Demonstrated breadth across external media relations, corporate social media, and crisis communications.
  • Experience serving as the corporate voice for a company, ideally at a public or pre-IPO company.
  • Strong writing and editing skills across press materials, executive messaging, and social content.
  • Hands-on crisis and issues management experience, particularly with incident or outage communications.
  • Experience building or directing a corporate social media function and managing communications staff.
  • Proficiency with modern AI tools and clear perspective on their application in communications workflows.
  • Comfort partnering with senior leadership, Legal, and cross-functional teams in high-stakes environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Own and connect the Five9 corporate narrative across market, customer, and public audiences.
  • Set the annual communications strategy and calendar aligned with GTM and brand priorities.
  • Lead media and public relations, including press strategy, relationships, and executive communications.
  • Manage corporate social media presence, strategy, and real-time response monitoring.
  • Define corporate communications for customers, covering company news and leadership changes.
  • Develop crisis and issues management frameworks, including outage/incident communications.
  • Lead and scale the communications function, mentoring talent and establishing operating standards.
