Requirements
- BS/BTech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related field, or 8 years of security domain experience.
- 4+ years of experience acting as a trusted advisor in a team setting.
- 4+ years of experience coaching other engineers or analysts.
- Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Postgres, Snowflake, Databricks, or AWS S3.
- Experience with data discovery, classification, and cataloging tools.
- Knowledge of protecting PII/PHI and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python.
- Experience with regex patterns and scripting.
- Experience with Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) tools such as Wiz, BigID, Cyera, or Bedrock Data.
- Experience integrating security controls into data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate solutions that continuously improve and automate security capabilities.
- Leverage data to identify trends and metrics to improve security posture and execute improvements with stakeholders.
- Lead and enhance incident response efforts, including analysis, containment, and mitigation.
- Craft and refine security documentation such as policies, standards, baselines, and standard operating procedures.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers or analysts.
