Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping complex products.
- Deep expertise in system architecture, APIs, databases, and building scalable, reliable systems.
- Proficiency in Python, Node.js, or similar languages.
- Experience with healthcare data and interoperability standards such as HL7 or FHIR.
- Expertise in building data integration pipelines (ETL) and working with lab or wearable device data.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Experience implementing AI/ML solutions, including LLMs, NLP, or predictive models.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA requirements and health data privacy regulations.
- Comfortable with AI-native development workflows and tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub.
- Startup experience with an ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities
- Inherit, optimize, and scale the existing beta product infrastructure.
- Architect backend systems that synthesize lab, wearable, and medical data into actionable insights.
- Develop and expand ETL pipelines for health data integration.
- Build AI-powered features including conversational check-ins and recommendation engines.
- Own security, encryption, and HIPAA compliance for sensitive health data.
- Mentor and guide future engineering hires to establish development culture and standards.
