Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
10+ years of professional experience in Software AG ADABAS/Natural and related products for administration and systems programming.
Extensive experience with ADABAS database administration, NATURAL Security, and Fast Path.
Proficiency in database design and defining FDT and DDMs.
Expertise in performance tuning and use of ADABAS utilities (e.g., Delta Save Facility, Natural utilities, SMA, Review).
Knowledge of log archive, change accumulation, ADARUN parameters, and buffer pools.
Experience applying licenses, ZAPs, and service packs for Software AG products.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve production database issues.
Experience managing large, 24x7 multi-database environments.
Strong multitasking skills and ability to work in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

Perform mainframe database software upgrades and provide administration and tuning support for Software AG ADABAS environments.
Execute day-to-day database maintenance including database definition changes, backups, restores, and space monitoring.
Perform database reorganizations, performance reviews, and new client onboarding.
Maintain disaster recovery procedures and execute tasks associated with client recovery plans.
Provide 24x7 on-call support as part of a scheduled team rotation.
Manage vendor relations and resolve database problems effectively.
Maintain documentation for all tasks and adhere to change management policies.
