Job Details

Experience: 10+ years

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
10+ years of professional experience in Software AG ADABAS/Natural and related products.
Expertise in ADABAS database administration, NATURAL Security, and Fast Path.
Proficiency in defining FDT and DDMs and database design.
Strong skills in performance tuning and ADABAS utilities such as Delta Save Facility, Review, and SMA.
Knowledge of ADARUN parameters, buffer pools, protection logging, and change accumulation.
Experience in large, 24x7 multi-database environments.
Ability to manage vendors, apply licenses, and deploy service packs or ZAPs.
Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.
Ability to multi-task and work under short deadlines.

Responsibilities

Perform mainframe database software upgrades and ongoing administration and tuning.
Manage day-to-day database maintenance including definition changes, backups, and restores.
Monitor space growth and perform database reorganizations.
Create and maintain disaster recovery procedures and support recovery activities.
Provide 24x7 on-call support on a scheduled rotation.
Perform database optimization, performance reviews, and new client onboarding.
Manage vendor relations to resolve database problems and questions.
Maintain documentation for tasks and adhere to change management policies.
