Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or related fields.
  • At least 2+ years in a people management role.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer protection regulations (e.g., UDAAP, Reg E, Reg Z, Reg B, FCRA).
  • Expertise in advertising and marketing compliance standards.
  • Experience reviewing and approving marketing, advertising, and customer-facing product communications.
  • Background supporting product development, product launches, or compliance-by-design initiatives.
  • Proven ability to translate complex regulatory frameworks into practical, scalable business solutions.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Experience building compliance programs, policies, controls, and monitoring frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and sound judgment.
  • Fintech or financial services experience is strongly preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CRCM, CUCE) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end product and marketing compliance activities, ensuring consumer-facing products, campaigns, and communications meet applicable laws and internal standards.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Legal, Risk, and Engineering teams to provide compliance guidance throughout product development and go-to-market processes.
  • Evaluate and interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable controls and business requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on products, communications, and operational processes, driving timely policy and control updates.
  • Design and maintain compliance frameworks, policies, testing programs, and monitoring activities to ensure ongoing adherence.
  • Lead risk assessments and ensure appropriate controls are embedded across product and marketing workflows.
  • Manage and develop a team of compliance professionals, setting clear expectations, providing coaching, and driving performance.
  • Build dashboards, reporting mechanisms, and KPIs to measure compliance effectiveness and adoption.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives that embed compliance into product innovation and marketing execution.
