Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in pricing, risk, actuarial, or advanced analytics roles, including at least 7 years with P&L or regional ownership responsibility.
- Proven leadership experience managing pricing, risk, or analytics teams with full accountability for strategy, execution, and business outcomes.
- Strong experience managing state-level or regional financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and delivery against profitability targets.
- Deep expertise in building executive dashboards, risk metrics, and performance reporting that directly inform strategic decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex, multi-state regulatory environments and translate requirements into actionable business strategy.
- Comfortable leveraging AI and data tools to enhance analysis, surface insights, and improve pricing and risk decision-making.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex trade-offs in clear, confident, and structured narratives.
- Proven ability to prioritize across a complex portfolio, making disciplined decisions on resource allocation and focus areas.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Strong adaptability, with the ability to operate effectively as priorities shift and new risks emerge.
Responsibilities
- Own full P&L responsibility for the eastern region, including pricing strategy, loss ratio performance, and expense control to ensure sustainable profitability.
- Lead, coach, and set clear expectations for a team of state managers, driving consistent execution and accountability across regional markets.
- Define and evolve pricing strategies and risk frameworks across multiple states, ensuring alignment with market dynamics and business objectives.
- Oversee regulatory strategy and compliance across jurisdictions, proactively managing filings, approvals, and evolving requirements.
- Build and maintain executive-level dashboards and risk KPIs that provide real-time visibility into portfolio performance and emerging trends.
- Present pricing, risk, and portfolio insights to executive leadership and regulatory stakeholders, clearly articulating trade-offs and recommendations.
- Leverage AI and advanced analytics tools to identify risk patterns, improve pricing accuracy, and enhance decision-making workflows.
- Drive continuous optimization of state performance, balancing growth, profitability, and competitive positioning across the region.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with actuarial, product, and operations teams to solve complex regional and portfolio-level challenges.
