- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state or a valid multistate RN license through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Home Health OASIS certification preferred.
- Minimum of three years of healthcare experience, including at least one year in home health.
- Previous experience in healthcare quality improvement, compliance, auditing, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, documentation standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
- Experience reviewing OASIS documentation and applying appropriate coding practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret complex clinical documentation, prepare detailed reports, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to improving patient care through data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Review patient records and healthcare documentation to ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational quality standards.
- Evaluate the accuracy and completeness of clinical documentation, including proper application of OASIS guidelines and coding practices.
- Conduct documentation audits, inspections, and compliance reviews while identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to healthcare teams, offering actionable recommendations to improve care quality and documentation accuracy.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret quality metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes through continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Support the education and development of healthcare professionals by promoting best practices in documentation, compliance, and OASIS standards.
- Contribute to ongoing quality assurance projects and perform additional responsibilities as needed.
