Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state or a valid multistate RN license through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Home Health OASIS certification preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of healthcare experience, including at least one year in home health.
  • Previous experience in healthcare quality improvement, compliance, auditing, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, documentation standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Experience reviewing OASIS documentation and applying appropriate coding practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex clinical documentation, prepare detailed reports, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to improving patient care through data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Review patient records and healthcare documentation to ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational quality standards.
  • Evaluate the accuracy and completeness of clinical documentation, including proper application of OASIS guidelines and coding practices.
  • Conduct documentation audits, inspections, and compliance reviews while identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to healthcare teams, offering actionable recommendations to improve care quality and documentation accuracy.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret quality metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes through continuous quality improvement efforts.
  • Support the education and development of healthcare professionals by promoting best practices in documentation, compliance, and OASIS standards.
  • Contribute to ongoing quality assurance projects and perform additional responsibilities as needed.
