Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or technical pre-sales leadership within SaaS, data, analytics, or cloud-based environments.
  • Proven experience building and leading global, distributed Sales Engineering teams in both startup and large-scale organizations.
  • Strong technical expertise in modern data stack technologies such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, and ELT/ETL architectures.
  • Deep understanding of cloud-based data platforms, streaming/batch processing, and analytics infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated success supporting enterprise SaaS sales cycles and consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional and global teams.
  • Experience developing enablement programs, technical playbooks, and structured sales engineering methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale a global Sales Engineering organization, including hiring, coaching, and developing high-performing technical pre-sales talent.
  • Partner with global Sales teams to support enterprise deals, including technical discovery, solution design, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept execution.
  • Develop and standardize technical sales methodologies, playbooks, ROI models, and POC frameworks to improve win rates and deal consistency.
  • Define and track key performance metrics and OKRs such as POC success rate, win rate, conversion rates, and pipeline efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership during complex enterprise engagements, ensuring alignment between customer requirements and platform capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to communicate customer feedback and influence roadmap priorities.
  • Optimize pre-sales processes, tools, and enablement systems to improve team productivity and scalability.
  • Build subject matter expertise across modern data stack technologies including ETL/ELT, cloud data warehouses, and analytics platforms.
