Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in a SaaS Sales Engineering or similar technical pre-sales role.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with major cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
- Strong familiarity with modern data platforms such as Databricks and/or Snowflake.
- Experience with data observability, data quality, data integration, or data monitoring solutions.
- Deep understanding of modern data ecosystems, including data warehouses, data lakes, and streaming architectures.
- Strong technical proficiency in tools such as SQL and Python, with exposure to data analytics or visualization tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze customer environments and recommend scalable solutions.
- A proactive, growth-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-performance environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 50 percent for customer and prospect engagements.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical advisor during the sales cycle, partnering with account executives to identify customer needs and propose tailored data platform solutions.
- Deliver impactful technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution walkthroughs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Design and support proof-of-concept environments, analyze results, and communicate value-driven outcomes to decision-makers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop solution architectures, technical proposals, and statements of work aligned with customer requirements.
- Educate internal sales and partner teams on technical capabilities, enabling stronger positioning in competitive opportunities.
- Contribute to product feedback loops by sharing field insights and customer challenges with product and engineering teams.
- Support the creation of technical documentation, demo assets, and enablement materials to strengthen field effectiveness.
