Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3+ years in a leadership role managing teams.
  • Strong technical expertise in US GAAP, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and multi-entity or international consolidation.
  • Experience leading external audits and implementing internal control frameworks, with exposure to IPO or SOX readiness highly preferred.
  • Background in fast-growing startup or scale-up environments with complex financial operations.
  • Hands-on experience across core accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, revenue operations, tax, and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to improve systems, optimize processes, and shorten close cycles.
  • Experience working across multiple countries or entities, ideally including US and European operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills in high-growth, evolving environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global accounting operations, ensuring US GAAP compliance, accurate revenue recognition (ASC 606), and consolidated financial reporting across US and European entities.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, maintaining general ledger integrity, intercompany transactions, and reporting accuracy.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls, policies, and procedures aligned with public-company readiness and audit requirements.
  • Manage external audit processes and act as the primary point of contact for auditors, ensuring timely and accurate financial disclosures.
  • Partner with FP&A and business teams to analyze revenue streams, cost structures, and financial performance across the organization.
  • Drive scalability of accounting processes by improving systems, workflows, and automation across AP, AR, payroll, and reporting functions.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed accounting team across multiple regions, fostering capability development and operational excellence.
  • Support tax compliance, technical accounting research, and strategic financial initiatives including M&A, fundraising, and equity transactions.
