Requirements
- Must be a currently matriculated undergraduate student or have equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Must be based in the U.S. for the entire duration of the internship.
- Demonstrated interest in video production, photography, journalism, and storytelling.
- Excellent writing and research skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Commitment to advancing the mission of the ACLU.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully.
- Experience with video editing and editorial environments preferred.
Responsibilities
- Organize talent database and maintain contact lists.
- Assist with tracking social mentions and clippings using Meltwater.
- Prepare pitch documents for issue and campaign work.
- Work on event production including venue ideation and swag coordination.
- Collaborate with communications, social media, and multimedia teams.
- Conduct research on social media and traditional media to identify new talent.
