Requirements
- One (1) year of professional interpreting experience
- Valid and current NAD IV/V, BEI - Advanced or Master, or RID certification
- Fluent American Sign Language, spoken English, and spoken Spanish skills
- Possess a good understanding of Deaf culture
- Thorough knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must pass company's English/ASL and Spanish/ASL interpreting skills assessment
- Must attend and successfully complete a 40-hour New Hire Training
- Ability to work a minimum of 36 hours per week between 9p to 5a PST
- Must have a secure, lockable room in primary residence
- Willingness to allow remote monitoring and oversight of home environment and calls
- Must hold applicable state licensure or credentials
Responsibilities
- Provide effective video relay service, video remote interpreting, and onsite interpreting for consumers
- Support and model the company's mission and values
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a respectful and professional attitude
- Maintain punctuality, preparedness, and accurate record keeping
- Adhere to all company policies and FCC regulations
- Adapt quickly to new and changing technologies
- Multi-task while utilizing video-based technology
- Participate in professional development training
