Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend or full-stack development in production environments.
- Strong experience with Python/Django or similar backend frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure) and production system operations.
- Strong knowledge of web security principles, threat modeling, and abuse prevention techniques.
- Experience building or maintaining distributed systems with high reliability and observability requirements.
- Experience with incident response, on-call operations, and production debugging.
- Strong collaboration skills in distributed engineering teams and open communication practices.
- Familiarity with React/TypeScript or similar frontend technologies is a plus.
- Bonus: experience with open-source contributions, moderation systems, or automated security tooling.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of security-focused and reliability improvements across add-ons submission, review, and moderation systems.
- Build and maintain automated security and abuse detection systems, including workflows for policy enforcement, content moderation, and risk mitigation.
- Improve platform observability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and data-driven insights.
- Participate in incident response and operational support for critical issues.
- Contribute to full-stack development efforts across backend (Python/Django), frontend (React/TypeScript), and cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end improvements to ecosystem tools.
- Support modernization of reviewer tools, DevHub systems, and moderation pipelines.
