Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in ML Engineering with ownership of production systems.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python.
- Hands-on experience with optimization techniques including Mixed Integer Programming, Linear Optimization, or Stochastic Optimization.
- Proficiency in modern ML frameworks such as XGBoost and PyTorch.
- Proven record designing cloud-native pipelines on AWS, GCP, or Azure (AWS preferred).
- Strong SQL skills and experience with feature-store design.
- Data-quality mindset.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills for presenting to executives.
Responsibilities
- Architect and ship end-to-end Python services (batch and streaming) to process model outputs and run constrained optimization.
- Build and extend ML models, including gradient-boosting, deep learning, and OR-Tools.
- Run time-horizon simulations to quantify trade-offs between cost and service levels.
- Operationalize models through automated training, validation, A/B rollouts, and monitoring using tools like SageMaker and Airflow.
- Lead and mentor a small squad of ML engineers, partnering with Product, Ops, and Data Engineering teams.
- Present findings and insights to executive leadership.
- Continuously improve systems by instrumenting NPS and cost telemetry and identifying failure modes.
