Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, procurement, construction management or related field.
- 12-15 years of relevant work experience in the procurement field, supply chain management, construction industry, and project management.
- Experience in a senior leadership role in procurement or the construction industry.
- Strong ability to think strategically and maintain a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial management and budget creation.
- Knowledge of project management principles.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the market sector’s procurement function and performance, including strategic sourcing efforts.
- Provide transformational leadership to build a best-in-class sourcing department that directly impacts company performance and profitability.
- Coach and mentor department team members to improve leadership skills and team cohesion.
- Support the Senior Vice President in developing market sector plans and programs as a tactical partner.
- Establish credibility throughout the market sector as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
- Oversee development and implementation of key initiatives and Standard Operating Procedures to improve operational effectiveness.
- Serve as a strategic partner to Construction, Project Management, Engineering, Estimating, Legal, and Risk/Insurance departments.
- Lead and promote safety policies, procedures, and data-driven decision-making.
