Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics or political science.
  • No prior work experience required.
  • Passion for the intersection of economics, government policy, and libertarianism.
  • Familiarity with basic economic and budgeting concepts.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to think independently.
  • Empirical skills (optional but preferred: R, STATA, Excel).

Responsibilities

  • Support the research efforts of the Budget and Entitlement Policy team.
  • Manage administrative and organizational tasks for the team.
  • Produce the weekly Debt Digest newsletter.
  • Synthesize fiscal developments and analyze budget data.
  • Draft summaries for working papers, blog posts, op-eds, tweets, and books.
