Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience across design and front-end engineering.
- Proven experience shipping internal-facing tooling for designers or engineers that resulted in measurable workflow improvements.
- Strong fluency with modern AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) and patterns like structured context, retrieval, and agent skills.
- Strong front-end engineering depth with the ability to manage PRs in design system codebases.
- Working knowledge of design systems, including tokens, primitives, multi-brand theming, and accessibility.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical work to senior design and product leadership.
- Track record of cross-functional partnership and co-owning roadmaps across design, engineering, and product.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders using data and a clear point of view.
Responsibilities
- Unify ZxD's AI design tooling into a coherent, supported stack with clear guidelines.
- Decide on investment, partnership, or exclusion for specific AI tools and workflows.
- Evolve the design system as AI context by maintaining MCP servers and integration bundles for tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Figma.
- Author starter templates for high-traffic surfaces to facilitate production-credible UI prototyping.
- Build and maintain an evaluation harness to ensure AI-generated UI meets accessibility, component, and visual standards.
- Partner with design, research, content, and brand teams to integrate their assets into the unified tooling workflow.
- Drive adoption through enablement strategies like office hours, documentation, and champion networks.
