Requirements
- PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) certification.
- At least 12 years of payroll experience in a fast-paced, large company or multi-jurisdictional environment.
- Advanced understanding of Canadian payroll including withholding taxes, source deductions, benefits, and statutory forms.
- Experience processing payroll across multiple provinces (Quebec experience is an asset).
- Expertise in advanced data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong technical proficiency with payroll software and willingness to adopt new tools.
- Excellent communication skills for client-facing advisory.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter in a remote setting.
- High-speed internet connection (at least 6Mbps up/down).
Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll for multiple clients with different pay frequencies.
- Handle the T4 process and submit ROE forms.
- Manage EHT and WCB filings for multiple provinces.
- Review CRA accounts and respond to government notices.
- Provide complex payroll advisory and problem-solving support to clients.
- Act as a technical resource for the team, supporting knowledge sharing and escalations.
- Champion process improvements and contribute to departmental best practices.
