Requirements

  • PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) certification.
  • At least 12 years of payroll experience in a fast-paced, large company or multi-jurisdictional environment.
  • Advanced understanding of Canadian payroll including withholding taxes, source deductions, benefits, and statutory forms.
  • Experience processing payroll across multiple provinces (Quebec experience is an asset).
  • Expertise in advanced data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong technical proficiency with payroll software and willingness to adopt new tools.
  • Excellent communication skills for client-facing advisory.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter in a remote setting.
  • High-speed internet connection (at least 6Mbps up/down).

Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end payroll for multiple clients with different pay frequencies.
  • Handle the T4 process and submit ROE forms.
  • Manage EHT and WCB filings for multiple provinces.
  • Review CRA accounts and respond to government notices.
  • Provide complex payroll advisory and problem-solving support to clients.
  • Act as a technical resource for the team, supporting knowledge sharing and escalations.
  • Champion process improvements and contribute to departmental best practices.
