Requirements
- Extensive experience architecting, building, deploying, and maintaining distributed systems at scale.
- Proven experience leading highly complex and ambitious technical projects.
- Strong technical leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and up-leveling engineers.
- Ability to broadcast and encourage technical excellence across the team.
- Demonstrated capability to solve challenging technical problems that generate customer value.
- Comfort and success working in a fast-paced, high-ownership startup environment.
- Strong technical opinions and a desire to contribute to scaling an engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Lead high-throughput systems that collect, forward, and perform real-time computation on behavioral events.
- Build and maintain infrastructure to ingest clickstream, product interaction, and transactional data.
- Architect systems to maintain sub-second end-to-end latency at throughput exceeding 1,000,000 messages per second.
- Design and improve caching strategies for online computation services.
- Develop patterns for elegant and zero-downtime deployments.
- Deliver projects from start to finish with high ownership and autonomy.
- Work directly with customers to solve complex scaling problems.
- Influence technical roadmap and mentor other engineers.
