Requirements

  • 7+ years’ experience in construction management, design, design management, or a relevant field.
  • 5+ years’ experience with power delivery design and/or high-voltage (HV) and extra-high-voltage (EHV) substation construction.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, project management, engineering, or similar.
  • Proven ability to lead technical design discussions across engineering teams, consultants, contractors, and clients.
  • Strong stakeholder alignment skills and the ability to drive consensus across groups.
  • Experience managing design deliverables while maintaining control of scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Working knowledge of design-phase budgeting, constructability reviews, value engineering, and risk identification.
  • Solid understanding of data center development workflows and cross-disciplinary engineering coordination.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills for managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • PE License (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination between engineering teams, consultants, contractors, owners, and clients to define project scope and align technical requirements.
  • Drive alignment of owner and client inputs with design standards, budget targets, cash flow considerations, and early schedule milestones.
  • Manage CDE completion and BOD generation/deviation management.
  • Participate in Client contract/SLA reviews.
  • Generate and own initial project schedules and track key milestones.
  • Oversee review of preconstruction/design documents, bid packages, and engineering analyses to ensure technical compliance and commercial viability.
  • Generate and maintain preconstruction budgets until handover to development project management.
  • Facilitate preconstruction and design alignment meetings to ensure decision-making and project momentum.
  • Support QA/QC processes with site observation visits to ensure design validation.
