Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent Engineering BS degree (Power specific preferred).
- Professional Engineer License.
- 5+ years of experience in substation design and engineering.
- Proficiency in software required to review plans, sections, schematics, details, wiring, and BOM sheets.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles, industry standards, and codes.
- Ability to develop, interpret, and apply procedures to complex design situations.
- Experience managing multiple simultaneous project schedules and budgets.
- Demonstrated ability to lead client interactions to drive solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence.
- Ability to travel up to 25% and hold a Passport.
- Intermediate CAD and PDF editor knowledge strongly preferred.
- Experience with modeling software for grounding, lightning, and basic electrical calculations preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership by overseeing the engineering work of the team and facilitating training.
- Drive the delivery of substation projects ensuring they meet quality standards and client specifications.
- Lead junior and experienced staff in the completion of engineering designs and generation of construction drawings.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple departments and geographies to support company goals.
- Challenge the status quo and explore innovative solutions to drive progress and efficiency in engineering designs.
