Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent Engineering BS degree (Power specific preferred).
- Professional Engineer License.
- 12+ years of experience in substation design and engineering.
- Ability to travel 25%+.
- Must hold a passport.
- Knowledge of software for reviewing plans, sections, schematics, and BOM sheets.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, industry standards, and codes.
- Ability to interpret internal and client procedures for complex design situations.
- Ability to develop and evaluate design alternatives to solve constructability challenges.
- Understanding of proposals, financials, and business development implications.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership in team management, staffing, and resource development.
- Oversee the delivery of substation projects ensuring adherence to quality and client requirements.
- Establish and communicate short- and long-term goals with clear KPIs.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support project execution and business objectives.
- Drive innovation by exploring new technologies and improving work processes.
- Lead client interactions to provide technical solutions and mitigate challenges in stressful situations.
