Master’s Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program
National Board Certification in specialty area
Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State
Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
Collaborative practice agreement or relationship attestation as per the Nurse Practitioner Modernization Act 2015
Current BLS certification
CPEP experience

Responsibilities

Take initial patient histories and perform physical examinations.
Initiate, document, and communicate the plan of care.
Perform daily patient rounds.
Write orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests.
Interpret laboratory and test results.
Confer with attending physicians, residents, and nursing staff to ensure quality care.
Note discharge summaries, prescriptions, and referrals.
Inform patients of post-discharge care instructions.
