Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Active CPA license.
- 2+ years of tax experience in public accounting and/or a corporate tax department.
- Knowledge of corporate accounting.
- Proficiency with business and communications software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Copilot, and Outlook).
- Self-starting and motivated, able to work without supervision to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Master’s degree in Taxation (preferred).
- Hands-on knowledge of tax research tools such as CCH (recommended).
- Familiarity with Corptax, Bloomberg tax depreciation software, and NetSuite (recommended).
Responsibilities
- Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740 and prepare related tax disclosures for SEC reporting.
- Prepare federal, state, and local income tax filings and supporting calculations, including estimates and extensions.
- Prepare other indirect tax filings including personal property tax, franchise tax, and sales and use tax.
- Research and respond to tax notices from federal, state, and local tax authorities.
- Collaborate with the payroll function to ensure compliance with payroll tax reporting obligations.
- Ensure tax files and documentation are maintained for compliance under SOX 404 regulations.
- Conduct tax research and prepare technical memoranda on tax matters.
- Support the company with M&A tax diligence, strategy, and integration efforts.
- Support the company with its research and development tax credit study and analysis.
