Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Technical Consulting, or related roles.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Success teams.
  • Experience working with utilities, grid-edge technologies, distributed energy resources, or large-scale energy programs.
  • Strong understanding of demand response, load flexibility, virtual power plants, and distributed energy resource management concepts.
  • Experience leading technical customer or partner engagements.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for proposals and technical documentation.
  • Experience with DERMS platforms, implementation contractors, or system integrations is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical counterpart to the Partnerships team throughout the sales process.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer and partner requirements, constraints, and program objectives.
  • Validate solution design, technical feasibility, and implementation approach for new opportunities.
  • Support proposal development by providing technical guidance for proposals, Scopes of Work, and commercial documentation.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor in meetings with utilities, DERMS providers, and strategic stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Delivery, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure technical alignment.
  • Translate market and partner feedback into actionable insights to inform product roadmaps.
  • Support structured handoffs from Partnerships to Delivery and Customer Success.
