Requirements
- 12+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with a track record of architectural ownership.
- Experience leading complex, cross-team technical changes and driving them to completion.
- 5+ years of experience with Python.
- Strong proficiency with Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with ClickHouse, Airflow, Amazon S3, Git, and Docker.
- Solid understanding of Data Lake and Data Warehouse architectures.
- Expertise in large-scale data handling and query optimization.
- Hands-on, daily use of AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Codex.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment.
- English proficiency at a B2+ level.
Responsibilities
- Develop and steward a 1–2 year technical roadmap for the Data Warehouse platform.
- Build reliable ETL/ELT processes and develop scalable data pipelines for centralized analytical warehousing.
- Own and document architectural decisions (ADRs) for data models, pipelines, and warehouse design.
- Establish data engineering standards and governance to drive adoption across teams.
- Act as the senior technical escalation point for data-related incidents and drive root cause resolution.
- Write and optimize queries for MongoDB and ClickHouse.
- Manage and maintain workflows in Airflow.
- Mentor analysts and product teams on data modeling and best practices.
- Actively use AI coding agents for building pipelines, querying, debugging, and exploration.
