Requirements
- Tenured experience leading a development team in a technical leadership or player/coach role at a SaaS startup.
- Strong hands-on experience building API-based, real-time integrations for SaaS products.
- Deep knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, retries, idempotency, monitoring, and failure handling.
- Strong development experience in C# and Microsoft SQL.
- Proficiency using AI tools, preferably Claude, to improve development productivity.
- Strong business judgment and understanding of privacy, compliance, and partner risk.
- High EQ and a track record of leading cross-functional work successfully.
- Experience with embedded financial products or similar third-party offerings is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a small team of development engineers while contributing technically as a player/coach.
- Serve as the internal technical expert on Skimmer’s partner integration architecture, including embedded financial products and third-party offerings.
- Drive evaluation, integration, and ongoing support for embedded products to ensure reliability, data accuracy, and a seamless customer experience.
- Build and maintain secure APIs, webhooks, middleware, and integration patterns for partner functionality.
- Partner on vendor selection and technical due diligence for prospective integration partners.
- Use AI tools and best practices to improve team productivity and code quality.
- Own security, compliance, and data privacy considerations across partner integrations.
