Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Active health insurance license and ability to be appointed by clients.
- Minimum one year of telemarketing or appointment setting experience.
- Minimum one year of customer service experience solving customer problems.
- Minimum one year of experience in an office environment using telephone/computer.
- Strong consultative service and sales background.
- Command of English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Internet, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple communication channels including phone, email, and chat.
- Aptitude for understanding and articulating complex insurance details.
Responsibilities
- Process incoming and outgoing phone calls for assigned clients and programs.
- Uncover member concerns, present solutions, and process enrollment applications.
- Overcome member objections and transition effectively between script elements.
- Obtain, enter, and verify member information accurately.
- Answer questions, resolve issues, and provide best-in-class member service.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of customer information and data access systems.
- Escalate complex situations outside of agent control to a supervisor.
- Maintain all required insurance licensing and continuing education credits.
