Requirements

  • Physician coding and compliance experience with strong background in Evaluation and Management services.
  • Training and presentation experience with physicians and other clinicians.
  • Experience in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations and supplemental training materials.
  • Previous work experience in auditing and coding professional clinical documentation.
  • Experience with both handwritten and electronic medical records.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or Associate degree in Nursing or other relevant field.
  • CPC and/or CCS-P certification.
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel to CUH satellite locations.

Responsibilities

  • Support and participate in educational activities for Cooper University Physicians.
  • Improve the quality, completeness, and accuracy of clinical documentation.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations and other supplemental training materials.
  • Audit and code professional clinical documentation in both handwritten and electronic medical records.
  • Conduct training sessions for physicians and clinicians individually and in groups.
