Requirements
- Physician coding and compliance experience with strong background in Evaluation and Management services.
- Training and presentation experience with physicians and other clinicians.
- Experience in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations and supplemental training materials.
- Previous work experience in auditing and coding professional clinical documentation.
- Experience with both handwritten and electronic medical records.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or Associate degree in Nursing or other relevant field.
- CPC and/or CCS-P certification.
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel to CUH satellite locations.
Responsibilities
- Support and participate in educational activities for Cooper University Physicians.
- Improve the quality, completeness, and accuracy of clinical documentation.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations and other supplemental training materials.
- Audit and code professional clinical documentation in both handwritten and electronic medical records.
- Conduct training sessions for physicians and clinicians individually and in groups.
