Requirements
- Experience conceptualizing, building, and deploying algorithms and models to production alongside machine learning engineers
- Strong machine learning best practices with a solid statistical background
- Technical proficiency in Python
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
- A strong command of SQL
- Experience translating customer needs into data problems
- Experience presenting clear analysis and conclusions to a wide variety of stakeholders
- Deep curiosity about data and the Amazon domain
- Comfort dealing with ambiguity, making tradeoffs, and adjusting plans as you learn
- Experience working in the software development lifecycle using version control, CI/CD, and multiple environments
Responsibilities
- Build real-time machine learning models utilizing very large datasets to deliver scalable solutions to customer problems
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and designers to build and iterate on data-driven features
- Drive data exploration and experimentation to identify new product opportunities using Amazon and e-commerce behavioral data
- Design and run experiments to evaluate the impact of optimizations and communicate results to stakeholders
- Establish scalable, efficient, and automated processes for large-scale data analysis, model development, and inference
- Build scalable pipelines using Python, SQL, and AWS to operationalize insights
- Define metrics, create dashboards, and monitor model performance in production
