Requirements
- Proven experience with complex Ruby on Rails web applications (approx. 60% of work).
- Experience with Java or Kotlin SpringBoot-based REST API development (approx. 40% of work).
- Solid understanding of PostgreSQL database knowledge.
- Experience with AWS cloud services (Aurora RDS, Neptune, OpenSearch).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools like GitHub Actions, Spinnaker, Terraform, and DataDog.
- Understanding of Apache Pulsar messaging and Debezium Server-based ETL pipelines.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills for legacy codebases.
- Ability to work comfortably with US time zone overlaps (afternoon/evening CET).
- Excellent direct communication skills in an opinionated engineering culture.
- Polyglot programming background with experience across diverse tech stacks.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and evolve a mission-critical Ruby on Rails monolith.
- Fix critical issues and navigate architectural complexity within the core ecosystem.
- Develop new features using Kotlin and Spring Boot.
- Ensure seamless integration of new features written in Kotlin, Ruby, or TypeScript.
- Collaborate with the Voyager team on technical decisions and system evolution.
