Requirements
- Experience with Ruby on Rails web application development.
- Experience with Java or Kotlin Spring Boot-based REST API development.
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL databases.
- Knowledge of AWS services such as Aurora RDS, Neptune, and OpenSearch.
- Familiarity with messaging and ETL tools like Apache Pulsar and Debezium.
- Experience with DevOps tools including CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Spinnaker), Terraform, and monitoring (DataDog).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities in large, complex codebases.
- Ability to work effectively in a polyglot environment and adapt to multiple technology stacks.
- Comfortable communicating and collaborating with team members in US timezones during late afternoon/early evening CET.
- Knowledge of React and TypeScript is a strong advantage.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and evolve the mission-critical Ruby on Rails monolith platform.
- Develop and maintain services using Kotlin and Spring Boot.
- Navigate architectural complexity to fix critical issues within the system.
- Ensure seamless integration of new features written in Kotlin, Ruby, or TypeScript.
- Collaborate within a global, opinionated engineering culture through direct communication and technical debates.
