Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in retail energy procurement, energy market analysis, advisory services, economics, finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of U.S. energy markets, including ISO/RTO structures, pricing mechanisms, market drivers, and industry terminology.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience synthesizing large datasets into actionable business insights.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information through clear, persuasive narratives and data storytelling techniques.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, advanced formulas, and pivot tables.
- Strong data visualization skills with the ability to present information in a clear and impactful manner.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive-level audiences.
- Proven ability to independently source, validate, interpret, and analyze data from multiple sources.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with business intelligence and visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Analyze U.S. energy market fundamentals, including supply and demand dynamics, pricing movements, regulatory developments, and market trends.
- Transform complex datasets and market intelligence into clear, compelling narratives for stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and generate in-depth analyses from concept development through final recommendations.
- Monitor policy changes, regulatory activity, and industry developments to assess impact on procurement strategies.
- Develop high-quality reports, presentations, and deliverables that combine quantitative analysis with storytelling.
- Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert analytical findings into practical business recommendations.
- Support the enhancement of internal analytical tools, forecasting models, and data visualization capabilities.
