Requirements

  • Master's degree and certification by Physician Assistant (PA) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certifying body.
  • Valid and unrestricted DEA license in Massachusetts.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a passion for mentorship.
  • Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, ambulatory care, and/or telemedicine.
  • Residency in or near Bangor, ME, with ability to commute for onsite shifts.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and virtual care platforms.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule including weekend rotations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic for up to 12.5 hours per shift.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct health assessments, physical exams, and review medical histories for urgent care patients.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, ECGs, and laboratory studies.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures including injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound management.
  • Deliver patient care through both in-person and telemedicine visits.
  • Serve as a clinical leader and mentor for providers and clinic staff.
  • Act as a preceptor for new provider staff and support their experiential growth.
  • Help load-balance patient volume between in-clinic and telemedicine services.
  • Maintain complete and accurate medical records within the EMR system.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and company clinical protocols.
