Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong spatial awareness and a keen sense of direction.
- Strong investigative research skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to new technological systems and processes.
- Comfortable using PCs, Macs, smartphones, and online platforms.
- Private workspace with no background noise.
- USB-connected headphones with a noise-canceling microphone.
- Minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps.
- Must be able to commit to 50 hours per week, including one mandatory weekend day.
Responsibilities
- Clearly and accurately present on-demand visual information to blind and low vision customers.
- Consistently answer calls while scheduled.
- Display a composed and professional demeanor that inspires trust and supports the Aira mission.
- Engage and support the team by participating in team-building exercises and contributing to organizational growth.
- Maintain strict data privacy standards and confidentiality.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Anticipate Explorers’ needs and provide an exceptional customer experience.
- Follow the Visual Interpreter Code of Professional Conduct.
