Requirements

  • 7+ years of Salesforce engineering experience.
  • At least 2 years in a lead, architect, or senior individual contributor role.
  • Expert-level Apex skills, including asynchronous patterns and SOQL optimization.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II certification (required).
  • Application Architect, System Architect, or equivalent credential (strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience designing and governing Salesforce integrations with enterprise systems like Workday or Boomi.
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce security model, sharing architecture, and data access patterns.
  • Experience with SFDX, CI/CD pipelines, and version-controlled Salesforce development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and business stakeholder reviews.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Salesforce platform architecture, including data model, security model, integration architecture, and overall technical health.
  • Lead technical design and delivery for complex Salesforce features, integrations, and platform enhancements.
  • Manage two Salesforce Engineers, providing technical direction, code review, mentorship, and career development.
  • Architect and maintain integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems via Boomi middleware and direct API patterns.
  • Define and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and release management practices.
  • Lead discovery and requirements analysis sessions with business stakeholders.
  • Evaluate third-party AppExchange solutions and advise on build-vs-buy decisions.
  • Manage technical debt, governor limit health, and platform security posture.
  • Drive Salesforce release management, including tri-annual release impact assessment and testing coordination.
  • Partner with the Data Architect on Salesforce data governance and master data strategy.
