Requirements
- 6+ years of experience with routing and switching in data centers
- Demonstrated experience with Linux systems
- Experience with automating production data center environments, including hardware provisioning, network device configuration, and capacity planning
- Proficiency with Networking protocols such as BGP, MLAG, VLANs, DNS
- Experience with Palo Alto Networks Firewalls and Juniper switches
- Experience with VPN technologies, like OpenVPN, IPSec, TLS
- Experience with AWS Networking technologies like Direct Connect, NACLs, Security Groups, VPC
- Proficiency with automation technology including Chef, Ansible, and Terraform
- Proficiency with at least one language such as Ruby, Go, or Python
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Git
- BS or MS in Engineering or Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience
Responsibilities
- Manage our networking and server hardware, topology, and connectivity in our physical data centers and cloud
- Design and build network telemetry, monitoring, and observability
- Build and maintain an automated change management pipeline to deploy network configuration revisions and provision hardware
- Ensure critical services operate reliably by triaging and fixing operational issues as an on-call engineer, participating in post-mortems and implementing improvements
- Collaborate on key infrastructure decisions, such as our hybrid cloud architecture
- Liaise with third parties, vendors and internet service providers
- Travel to Bay Area and New Jersey data centers and offices for onsite networking projects
